What KiteScribe is

KiteScribe is desktop software for capturing spoken discussion and on-screen context in one application. It is designed for restricted and professionally managed Windows environments that need local execution, versioned releases, and reviewable security artifacts.

Platform

Windows desktop software

KiteScribe is built for Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations. It is packaged as a standard desktop application for local installation and use.

Primary functions

Transcription, OCR, live preview

The product performs real-time system audio transcription, application-specific audio capture, OCR from selected application windows, and live preview of the monitored window.

Processing model

Runs on the host workstation

Speech processing and visual capture are performed locally. The product does not depend on cloud-hosted inference or external service calls to perform its core workflow.

Built for restricted and professionally managed environments

KiteScribe is designed for environments where external APIs are not permitted, where users need to keep capture and transcription on the local workstation, and where reviewers need a clear record of product version, security artifacts, and vendor support. That includes air-gapped environments, secure government networks, restricted workstations, and enterprise environments that require predictable desktop packaging.

Operational focus. KiteScribe is designed to let a user select a window, confirm the target immediately through live preview, attach to the correct audio path more reliably, and maintain clear capture-state awareness through pause, resume, stop, and source changes.
